Malvinpal Singh Khaira, known to clients as Malvin, is the Founder and Principal Lawyer of MPK Lawyers. Born and raised in Singapore, he moved to Australia to complete his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at the Australian National University.

Malvin began his career in personal injury litigation, acting for injured clients in workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents, public liability and common law negligence claims, where he recovered millions of dollars in compensation. He developed particular expertise in dispute resolution, representing clients in mediations, settlement conferences and pre-trial conferences in high stakes litigation.

He has served as in-house counsel for a prominent building and industrial association, advising on employment law, union matters, enterprise bargaining and construction disputes, and achieving successful outcomes for employers in courts and tribunals including the Fair Work Commission. Malvin then practised in insurance defence, advising insurers on workers compensation and negligence claims, before turning to commercial recoveries and enforcement across Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

At the heart of Malvin’s practice is a genuine passion for standing up for his clients’ rights. He is particularly drawn to matters involving unfairness or injustice, and is at his best when his client is up against a larger, better resourced opponent. Few things give him greater professional satisfaction than levelling the playing field and delivering a result against the odds.

Malvin takes pride in ensuring clients understand their position, their options and the path ahead. Whether acting for individuals or businesses, his focus is on practical guidance and strong representation to achieve the best possible outcome.

Outside of work, Malvin is a devoted family man. Most of his time away from the office is spent with his two boys, kicking a soccer ball at the park, hosting movie nights at home, or making the occasional trip to the cinema. A Manchester United fan, he also enjoys catching a Perth Glory match at the stadium when the chance arises, and unwinds with good music and a cold beer at the end of a busy week.
